Electricity Bill Jargon
6 Answers
I'm trying to work out how my predicted electric and gas charges are £923 per annum.
I live alone in a three bedroom house but only one bedroom and the lounge is heated.
On my bill there are two tariffs which say:
24hr 1st
24hr Next
What do they mean? TIA.

The current average is well over £100 a month. You might only heat two rooms, but in actual fact you don't have the benefit of another person's body heat - the average person gives out 0.25 Kw an hour and more if they are superenergetic ! My home is always much warmer when family visit as they are all really active.
My fuel bills are much higher than yours, but we don't have gas in the area , just oil and electricity.
