I am very indecisive. Choosing the first pair was difficult, choosing the second pair was a nightmare.

That's what I'd do, masma. The glasses I have at the moment suit my face (mind you, I do wear them all the time) so the next pair will be the same.

I'm over 60 now so the eye test is free , I just don't buy the glasses at the opticians , I go across the road to the £ shop.

I've been wearing glasses since I was 2 year old and still have no idea what suits me. I usually either take my pal or just grab the first pair that the assistant things will do me.

I didn't think of doing that, eddie. I just went along with what was happening in the shop, 'Just wait here', etc.

It didn't occur to me to just leave and go elsewhere. I'm such a dummy! I could have saved myself £115.00

Yes they cant make you buy the glasses there , they are not too impressed when I walk out without buying the specs but there is nothing they can do, they get paid by the NHS for the eye test so they don't lose anything.

Yes they are fine as long as you just need simple reading glasses. Bit flimsy so I buy 4 to 6 pairs at once. There are other places , Boots, Tesco for example that sell more expensive versions that are a bit more robust but they are £8 to £15 a pair so I stick to the £1 ones.

You can always buy a cheap frame and get any optician to put in the prescription lens - you don't have to buy the frames from the place where you get your eyes tested.
