Update re father in nursing home for factor30.

Visited Dad today and he was saying that 1 of the carers had stolen his money and purchased a farm.
I find that rather strange as I am now in charge of his money and it is all there and the lady involved is 64 hardly an age to start farming

She started saying that the matron was stealing her handbag overnight and taking her money out, but we just assumed she had spent it on little luxuries like chocolate and sweets which she loved - besides she didn't have much money kept in her bag. Over the months she got more and more agitated about this and we got very tired of hearing the same old story every time we visited. Soon after she died, we were so shocked to read in our local paper that the matron had been arrested for stealing small amounts of money (so it wouldn't be missed) from nearly every resident for over 5 years!! She was put in prison. How we wish we had believed Grandma and not thought she was just a confused old lady.

Hi Steve
I am sorry to hear that.
Oddly my father was a little more with it today.
He asked if I was keeping the garden tidy.
I am doing my best but the visits take up a lot of time.
He was pleased I had put the winter flowering pansies in and painted the shed. He was also pleased I was looking after his money.
He wanted to drive the car but obviously this was not possible.
