Articulated ladders

Does anyone have experience of this sort of ladder?

I have an instinctive unwillingness to trust myself to anything with so many hinges in it.

The hinges are absolute ladydogs to work with. The ladders are very strong and will do the job as shown, safely, but I found releasing the safety catch for the hinges so difficult I ended up getting rid.
I thought that what I gained from the multi-positions was outweighed by difficulty of use. For me.

Had one for a year or three, find it very useful, no probs.

I don't use one myself. I have used them many times at clients' houses.They're very useful for a whole load of DIY jobs, but not quite robust enough for heavy trade work.

They are very good and surprisingly strong.

I've had one for about 2-3 years with no problems.

Very useful, well worth the money, but as said the hinges are a pain, if left outside make sure you cover them well the hinges are prone to rusting quickly.

Ths ( http://www.littlegian..._aw8bICFSWoPAodYU4A3w ) is the same device here in the U.S. I've used one for years and wouldn't be without it. I used mine and a neighbors to sue as a scaffold while replacing some rain gutters and made the job go much faster. No hinge problems on mine...
