Directgov and Business Link sites to merge
1 Answers
No question here but useful info to share as I know some of us refer people to these sites.
Business Link website and www.directgov.uk, the public services website will close, with content from both sites being transferred to a new Government portal, www.gov.uk. Goes live on 17th October.

It does seem a little odd. I'm sure some consultant somewhere has identified a 'synergy saving' by combining the two sites.
I hope it doesn't change the direct.gov site too much- I think it's really useful, if only for answering a lot of AB queries about things like holiday entitlements for part time employees
