Help!! I've just walked from the shops with my daughters and as usual S. tagged along behind, dawdling as usual, when I suddenly felt my bladder give way.
I'd only felt slightly uncomfortable and knew I needed a tiddle, but I wasn't desperate and haven't been caught short so dramatically since childhood (I'm 35).
I ought to point out, we are not talking a slight leakage, my jeans were obviously wet.
I haven't been on the razzle all afternoon, so how could such a sudden loss of control occur??

I feel for you, just a bit embarrassing, it could be one of a number of things, menapause,(at 35 not likeley), a liver problem, i'd suggest if it happens again, a trip to the doctors is called for.
Drusilla.. children, and our muscles get a bit slack.!! Pelvic floor exercises do help.Stress incontinence is a factor too. Also side effects from medication.Urge incontinence can also be caused by a bladder infection. Diabetes can cause excessive production of urine and very frequent trips to the toilet.Do go and see your doctor if you are at all worried. In the meantime drink cranberry juice which will flush away any bladder infection.Could be that you have just caught a chill.I know the cold weather makes me dash to the loo more often.
