It's laughable that the ex-Archbishop of Canterbury can admonish those who use inflammatory words in this debate, when the CofE has been at the very front of verbal attacks on gays for centuries.

SP, he is living in the past. He and his ilk undoubtedly still think the Church should be central to power as in the 15C (Hmm, bit like the Muslim fanatics today)

IMO religion is the root of most evil, this mans rantings only reinforce that view for me.

One doesn't have to depend on the Daily Mail to witness what is happening, go into your City's main streets and anyone can see similar goings on.

Other evidence being the increase in teenage pregnancies, children growing up in household that have seen numerous different 'Dads' come and go, the decline in the number of couples getting married etc, etc.

Although I will admit that religion has a lot to answer for, if you watch documentaries on the way religion has held together the human race, and the way it has been created in every part of the earth, by different gatherings of Man who had no contact with each other, one has to admit that although the system wasn't perfect it worked.

Why else did it take on?

Believe me, aog, if the goings on in Cardiff University are an example of declining morals, you obviously haven't lived in Cambridge at any time in the last 60 years ! And if my mother was to be believed, you could make that 90 years. (I never spoke to my grandmother on the topic, but my guess is she would have extended the time by another few decades)
