I see this more as an investigation into the BBC and how it was allowed to continue for so long. It is now increasingly obvious that the BBC at the very least 'turned a blind eye' if not worse.
(It has been reported that he had a screened off alcove in his dressing room where he used to take the young girls.)

And Eddie, I think that this is the "solution" - that the Beeb picks up the tab for the counselling that may be needed for several that they "failed" with this case.

I think great deal more evidence would be needed before allegations of BBC complicity could be stood up, Eddie.

The headstone is being removed out of respect for others whose loved ones are buried nearby... they say, but presumably it's so it won't be defaced or destroyed.
