Tring Musueum
9 Answers
I went here as a kid and loved it, it was really odd and higgledy piggledy.
My family live in Aylesbury and I was thinking of taking my kids there but I have sen that the natural history musuem have taken it over. Does anyone know if thats ermmmm ruined its kooky factor or if its still a good afternoon out?
I also remember the Pitt River museum being fun and a bit like attending a jumble sale with shruken heads on offer? Any ideas if this is any good still too?

Whilst I've never been to the Tring Museum I would be surprised if there hadn't been some modernisation in the past few years. However, seeing as it's free entry I would imagine that it's still worth taking your children to

We used to go to Tring a lot when we lived in Ayelsbury. The last time we would have gone would have been about six years ago and it was still quirky but I prefer the Pitt Rivers museum more. Again, the last time we visited was about six years ago but the stuff on display is far more varied (Tring is ok if you like stuffed animals with lop sided smiles and being able to see the stitches where they got sewn back up, althought the dressed up fleas are fun).
