Can I change the date on some of my photos?

While I was on holiday, I noticed that the date I had set on my camera was out by one day. I changed it to the correct date. The result is that I have two daysworth of photos with the same date. Since the photos are arranged by time, they are jumbled up, with photos taken on the second day interspersed with those of the first. I appreciate that this is not the End Of The World, but if it was really easy to change the dates I would like to do it. My camera is a Nikon L120 [I don't suppose that matters], my computer is a PC with Vista. I use Picasa to edit my photos, but I don't save the edits, so the photos in 'Pictures' stay unchanged. I am not very computerate, so keep it simple, please.
