I managed to uninstall my old one (it took ages) and install my new one, That took ages too. Thanks to both chuck and dotty and everyone else who said a wi-fi would work on a non wi-fi desk top I am now up and running.

I also bought a large screen tv bit I haven't told mic yet. I'm going to get it in situ and hope he won't notice. LOL Some chance.

When you first put you thin place you will think it is far too big, after a bit, when you have got used to it you will be wonderingif you should have bought a bigger one. Well done of getting the printer sorted out - I leave that stuff to himself and the 12 year old.
Hi Jeza, glad you got sorted and please give micmak a big hug from me, best wishes to you both

Hi Sherr, At one time my son did all that for me. Maybe that's why I'm useless at it. Sadly I can't call on him any more.

Sibton I will give mic a hug from you. Thanks for asking after him.
Glad you got that sorted jeza, it all sounded bothersome, best regards to you and a hug to mic
Well done and love to mic from me too.

My printer is wifi but it no longer connects without a lead. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it worked again for only a couple of jobs, so it back to the USB lead for me now. I hope yours works better and you enjoy your new TV which sounds like a great reward for doing all this!

Thanks guys. I bought the TV as my thinking was, WE worked for it, Why should we deprive ourselves of nice things to leave any thing to someone else. We have no relatives so my view is GET IT SPENT.
