Personally I think the Mother has been a tad hysterical. Having said that I think on the day the restaurant staff could have handled it better.

My mother got me wasted as a baby when she misheard the midwife's advice of putting a teaspoon of brandy in my bottle.....my mum put a tablespoon in and knowing her there would have been a extra splash for luck.
