Latest Scam?

From what seems to be a mobile number...

"We have been trying to contact you about your PPi claim,we still have £2,308.34 in your name waiting to be sent to you..."

Oh I wish....I don't think I ever paid more than £200 for PPi over a number of years-if that.

If they are so convinced that is the case why don't they address us by name?
Because they don't know it in the first place.
All these texts are just random, hoping someone will contact them.
I delete them as fast as they come in.

Similar thing happened to a relative who actually gave out bank details on the phone, and lost about £20000 from her account. Gullible.

I get them too, I just delete it. If you text back 'stop' then they know it's a working number.

They're on home/mobile/work phone & emails but haven't had a loan

I always delete them also. What's funny is this was not on my primary phone,but on a mobile that I never use....

i keep having these on our house phone and on mine and the wifes mobile number.
how many times before its classed as harassment??

I have also had the same message and deleted it.Don't know where the got my number from as I never give it out other than to family and friends.

I get them all the time and have never had a loan or mortgage...as able to pay cash for home...

I had a gentleman on the phone the other day from Microsoft Windows to tell me that my computer had a problem. I wasn't in the mood for talking so I just told him that I didn't have a computer.

He then told me in his best In-glish that I was "most mistaken" and that I certainly had a computer or a laptop. I just growled at him and hung up.

Usually I am civil but some times they really get on my nerves.

I was busy ignoring phone calls from someone "number with-held" during the week. They kept phoning. In the end (after a few days) I answered and snarled down the phone - it was my GP trying to get in touch with me about some test results. ;-)

Regards PPI, If the caller convinces you that you DO have monies to claim, do it yourself " easy" regards our brothers / sisters in India, if the caller takes a min or two to speak " that's your clue, put the phone down "easy"

i've had this text several times to my mobile and i know noone but work and family have the number. thing is it's deceptive as i have made a ppi claim but i am sure i didn;t give them my mobile number, but i also know they wouldn't word the text that way and i am sure they would use my name.
