Adobe - PDF default

Hello :)
I need Adobe to be my default for reading PDFs. It used to be but seems to have unset itself and now things won't open unless I save them to my desktop, open Adobe seperately and then go to File and Open from there.
How do I get it back to Adobe working straight away?

Right-click a PDF file, choose open with...
Click Choose Program
Check the box "always use..."
Select Adobe Reader
Click OK
