Still trying to rest re tendonitis hence more questions! lol

I've taken a liking to the shabby chic style, especially bedroom furniture, though I haven't actually bought anything in this style yet. My question is that I would quite like to get a dressing table/bedside cabinets in this style but cannot change my bed as it was expensive ,yet its a modern bed - chocolate brown leather. Would these two styles totally clash or is there a wa of making them work?

I guess you mean this kind of thing, Smows.................

Very easy to do yourself. Just emulsion paint , colour of your choice, and some rubbing down of edges and corners.
Even if the styles aren't wholly compatible, it's the choice of colour(s) that helps things to "match".
Builder - can you do that to leather? Smow says she has a leather bed.

Sort of, but cream is the colour I would like
Couldn't you just get some big throws/blankets to hide most of the leather. If it's just the headboard it won't look bad. Most people probably wouldn't notice it.
maybe some heavy creamy lacy fabric swathes

Yeh I can do that, just need to find the dressing table and cabinets that arent an extortionate price! lol
Know what you mean. I really like the style too but the stuff that looks quality is pretty pricey. Too much for me.
