Water Bed

For years I have been a serial insomniac with between 3 and 5 hours a night,

Mrs BT and I are currently zoo keeping, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs, for friends while they are on holiday, and we are sleeping on a water bed.

Not in 40 years have I slept better, three nights on the trot, 6 hours plus.

You know what your next big purchase is now. I've never tried one myself, I don't think my upstairs floors would cope with the weight.

good luck with the water bed, I slept on one for a couple of nights in the US and it was heaven but I was warned that if used all the time they could cause back ache, in the US I believe you cant install one if you live over the 7th floor [ I think it was 7th could have been lower] also if it springs a leak you have problems so ask abot this aspect before you purchase, presume said friends would know most of the answers.Sweet dreams I know if you cant sleep anything is worth a try.

I have had mine 10 years, Treated my daughter to her's last August, comfy and warm in the winter, cooling in the Summer.

You aer probably exhausted running about after all those chickens, ducks cats and dogs. Sinking into a water bed sounds lovely.

Are you thinking of getting one? I suspect that they're really expensive.

A water bed would not last 2 minutes with my cats claws lol.

Also is there not lots of sloshing around - I get up a lot to pee as it is - that would just kill me.

Dont think that would work with us - OH is about 7 stone heavier than me and every time he turned over I would probably shoot up into the air lol!

the latest ones have separate sections that stop the rolling and also if it springs al leak the whole thing doesnt collapse

does it come with a puncture outfit ? how much money are we talking ? we have the beds that go up & down with half memory foam and half sprung mattresses [ all memory foam gets too hot for us] and they were pricey but we do get a good nights sleep.

You can buy puncture kits for them, the water mattress is in a liner on the bed sides, I have 8 cats and they have not punctured it yet, (speak to soon) I paid £1,000 for mine from aquaglow but I did go for the best one at the time, I bought my daughters from ebay paid £250.00,
