Last year i received a letter from them stating i owed them money, as i had been overpaid so i completed their form and sent it back.

Over 6 months later and they wrote back last week saying they have looked into my case, and because they didnt receive my 2nd application form (although i did send it), its still classed as an overpayment, although technically i was still intitled to the money at that time!!

I am yet to hear how they are planning to get the money back. Its about 1000 +, so i am hoping they will just take the money each week from the payments i am currently entitled to.

The system sucks! It wouldnt suprise me if immigrants didnt have to pay it back, as they seem to get everything else for free (grrrrr best i stop there i think before i really get going on that subject! )

hi, I recently had a meeting with tax inspectors (fraud dept) - i told them my childcare situation had changed and have informed them many times on phone previous to this meeting - and lo and behold - I have just had two MORE letters saying that my childcare costs are the same as they were originally !!! grrrrrr...... i am just waiting for a huge bill!! then i will work out how to deal with it - personally the tax credit system is crap!!
