do you think a chiropodist should remove nail polish from toe nails? i used to go to one years ago and she did. The new one had none and as my big toe was playing up and still is, just how could he see what it was like underneath. I really don't think this is my responsibility. I'm seeing him for the second time friday so i may just take my own though im inclined to go somewhere else, he hasnt really cured me nor my husband's problem.
I always remove my toe polish before going on a 6 weekly trip to my chiropodist. My job means permanent bare feet so I tend to get a build up of hard skin.
He said he needs to see the nails to check for any problems, etc.
It's hardly THEIR responsibility to remove it, they are not foot beauticians.
I have had an NHS chiropodist tell me never again to come to an appt with nail polish on my toes, in my defence I had been to a wedding on the Sat and my appt was on monday, she was most put out.
It is definately not the job of the chiropodist.
I don't see why I should remove it,they should at least have remover to hand, just in case, how can he see the toe?I had gone to a new one this time so didn't realise he wouldn't have any as my previous one did.
doh, meant you! ive been in the same boat as you. I'm guessing most chiropodists therefore expect it to be removed beforehand, saves on time aswell I suppose.
