Can't believe how prices have soared from the humble loaf to a bag of potatoes
but was in Marks Spencer today and they have ladies sweaters on sale for £79 and £99 they are cashmere but this is exhorbitant for a jumper. Will bargain hunt elsewhere.

For the last 25 years I have never bought any new clothes .
Every thing I own has been either given to me as Christmas/Birthday presents of bought from a Charity shop. Usually I don;t even pay normal charity shop prices but wait untill they have a sale . Got an unworn M&S suit for £5 last week and 2shirts at £2,50 each all unworn and as new with tags. I can't...

That'll be acrylic from Primark, then?
Yes I would and do pay that for a sweater and I'll happily pay more for cashmere.

Cashmere is a luxury fibre and bringing it into bargain hunting is a bit left of field IMHO.

I'm sure M&S has other sweaters at lower prices for you to choose from. I'm sure their cashmere range is there as an easy Christmas gift solution for those of little imagination.
Yes. But not from M&S.
I would, if I had the money and I needed a jumper. Years back I used to be able to shop at Jaeger - their stuff was even then a good deal more expensive than that.
I get most of my clothes from the charity shops but I only buy 'labelled' clothes.
I bought a lovely Country Casuals jacket last week for £5.99 and will be picking it up from the dry cleaners tomorrow. It will have cost me £13.99.
I have a lovely Marks & Spencer suit which I bought from a charity shop. Bargain ! (No, I wouldn't buy the jumpers at those prices ! They will end up in the charity shop one day !)
Go to Oz and shoot dead a kangaroo. You will then have a jumper for free.

Good idea, eh?

No Primark we don't have one near us. I bought a beautiful cashmere pashmina from TKMax £15 it is 100% cashmere and not made in China
TK Maxx is brilliant, I've had some lovely items from there, but you do have to search for them!
No I would not. However cashmere is a luxury item and this is not expensive for cashmere. Incidentally JD williams have an offer at the moment for two jumpers for £22. With a further 10% discount...if you're interested.
It's not a bargain if you don't need it, whatever you are offered.

All jumpers end up bally!
bally?

No they don't. Pure Merino wall doesn't.
I can't wear wool. It makes me itch. I always buy cotton jumpers but they're not very warm.
Me too, Tilly! Horrid isn't it? But I have found I CAN wear M&S cashmilion which is wonderfully soft (and a bit cheaper than true cashmere).
