I am not sure if I have put this in the right place as this is only my second question on the site. Does anyone know of any chat sites where I can make new friends and have a friendly chat? I have visited aol chat place and it seemed more like dating than making friends which isnt what I am looking for. Thank you

i know what you mean.... when i used to do weightwatchers i used to go on their message boards... used to have great fun on there and every now and again they all meet up. even now i go on when i can but the site is restricted at my new workplace.

i dont know any others though

Excellent site with moderated rooms (although not all), has the ability to create your own private rooms and also has message boards. Regulars have been going for years - like one big online community - you'll soon get to know everyone. About 3/400 chatters per day - depending on time.

yeah like i say we used to just have girly chatter.... the odd guy used to come on but it was predominently women. ii wouldnt normally use chat rooms but went on there when i was bored one day and made some good friends. and dont get me wrong i'm not some sad computer geek... i have my friends in real life and these friends just made my day go so much quicker x

the WAYN (where are you now) site is pretty good as you can search for people in your area as well as world wide.

I to am single due to having had enough of my now X partner so dcan sympathsie when u say u get fed up of men thinking that you are on there for resons other than to make friends.
