Age gap in a relationship
22 Answers
I met and "courted" my wife in 1972. I am 7 years older than her.
If I were 17 and she 10, that would be totally unacceptable in our society.
If I were 27 and she 20, that would probably be acceptable.
At what age, then, would it become acceptable to have this 7 year age difference?

My husband is 18 years older than me, we got together when I was 23. The age gap seems to make no difference as most men act like big kids anyway! Only downside is people presume that I am a little older (even though I personally think I only look my age!) and he is a little younger. Been married nearly seven years and every day is still exciting. No one expressed surprise about the age gap. Our families knew each other well, so they just thought it was amusing!
