Hi
my nana is looking to buy coal , about 100kgs , my question is, is there anyone in darlington (north east england) or local areas around darlington where i can buy this from, the local supermarkets are too expensive. ive checked on search engines in my are but it seems yo have to order a lot for delivery, we are happy to collect as i think they come in 25kg sacks.
many thanks

Have a look in Yellow Pages. My daughter lives in the south of England but she found a really good ironmongers shop in the next village that sold everything, coal cobs, firewood and firelighters. Even fireguards. It isn't cheap having a real fire nowadays, plus paying the chimney sweep and ashes to clear out of the grate every day.
wow you guys are quick at answering! many thanks, in answer to a few comments, ive seen a 100kgs for £45 but i have to drive about 45 miles to get to it, they are clean bags , similar to what dotty posted.
The open sacks are yes i agree very black and dirty but they are also the cheapest at £12.80 for 50kgs but good value, however there is a min order of a £100 so thats too much many thanks for all your pointers and answers, much appreciated, jesyca x
