and all from the Harrods Food Hall.......tony's plastic must be melted.
Where else DT? Don't do it often but when I do...god do I do it in style!
DOH. :-(
Hi Tony...half a shandy at the beer festival for you...after my spending spree. x
I am trying to be more adventurous crossie.
Don't know if I can afford the beer festival now, gness :-(
Sorry. :-(
Well I would cook one of my best meals - as I would for any guest in my house. However, I wouldn't expect you to come back for the food, I would expect you to come back for the company (if invited).

I suppose I might do something like

Scallops on a warm salad of carrot with a sauternes sauce
Chicken breasts stuffed with pancetta and wild mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce with rosemary roasted mini potatos and root veg
White chocolate and amaretto terrine with plum coulis
a selection of local cheese and homemade oatcakes
Coffee and petit fours

And if you annoyed me, I just wouldn't invite you back.......
also known as a "Canard Pressé"

there's a restaurant on the south side of Rouen Cathedral that serves it......essentially separate the breast and the carcass. The carcass to the oven with herbs and roast, then let rest. Prepare the magret, season and herbs and sauté - and rest. Take the legs off and rest and the bones then under the huge press to squeeze out all the juices. Flame with Calvados (and the sauté pan), reduce the juices, mount (monté) with Normandy butter and cream and season. Assemble.
If I prepared food for you ... you'd never come back.

But I do have the menu from every take away in town.

Fancy Chinese?
Ohhh Barmaid......with a menu like that I would never annoy you. x
More to the point, what would you cook to make me want to invite you in the first place A Cork answer
Would your place of employment supply the goods barmaid
Sadly not owdhammer, I would have to source the ingredients myself locally. The best my place of work can do is provide me with the cheques.

perhaps I am taking this too seriously. Sod it, macdonalds it is.
If you came round here on a Saturday you could have what you want (the kids get to pick their own tea - it's invariably pizza for some and pasta for the others). But it is also treat night, so you can choose your own chocolate for later and you can have a (v weak) shandy too.
A Cork answer.....says the Kerryman. x
Welcome any time just so long as you like mince and tatties (my speciality). Grandaughter staying with me for a week and she would eat it every night.
