Spent sometime this morning trying to cheer my neighbour up after her second bout of chemo on Monday. She has terrible nausea - has pills but they don't work. Has tried ginger biscuit, peppermint in hot water to drink etc etc. She hasn't tried my suggestion of nibbling on an apple (though it worked for me with nausea).

Has anybody any other suggestions I could pass onto her.

Flat fizzy drinks are meant to be good.

How about Barley sugar sweets Den. I say that because they seem to work with travel sickness.
Flat seven up is quite good, and a ginger biscuit.

She has been told she must'nt drink fizzy drinks, I know you all say flat fizzy drink, but I thought it must be what the drink contains as opposed to the fizziness (if that makes sense).

She has dish full of various sucking sweets.
there is a drink called "this water " and the lemon/lime one is very good
They can change her anti nausea meds to something else, just ask.
The tablets must be taken a couple of hours before the chemo to have some effect, is she doing that?
I've found ginger tea really good for nausea.
^^^ agree with mamya ^^^

pour a glass of 7-up (or sprite) and then stir it like crazy until it is flat

has to be the proper stuff with sugar, not the vile 'diet' version
Ginger Nut or Arrowroot biscuits.
I had nausea with my first chemo, but my anti nausea meds were changed from domperidone to zofran and my nausea was reduced significantly.
