I was offered 1000 nectar points as part of a deal recently. Not collecting them myself, I'll put them on Mums card, what would they be worth roughly?
Thanks
They are not worth a lot but they soon add up. I've just signed up to get Nectar points when I buy off eBay, which I do - our BP garage gives them, so do Sainsburys', and I get them with the gas bill. When I have enough, I spend them in Argos.
At the standard rate they'd be worth a fiver. They sometimes have offers on and can be worth more at certain places but generally it's 500 points = £2.50

Yeah it's a bit anticlimactic isn't it but as boxtops said, they do quickly add up and there are quite a number of places you can earn them.
Earlier this month I spent 30,000 nectar point on Eurostar tickets and I've no doubt I'll have easily collected them back within 12 months and I'm not exactly what you'd call a big spender.
British Gas give you Nectar. You get them for Dual Fuel accounts and for just giving meter readings (100 points per fuel type, per meter reading, per quarter).
OK thank you, boxy and mobius. I shall have to look at BG as EDF stopped giving Nectar points a while ago plus they've just put their prices up by 11%. I shall get on to it shortly.
