If a non UK resident wants to drive a car in the UK for a limited period e.g.2 months, what are the options available? I've been told that several companies will not consider anyone with an EU licence if they are not permanent UK residents. How does this affect people looking for work or only in the UK for a short period? Any advice please

When my sister comes over from Spain I add her as a temporary driver on my insurance to drive my car.

If they drive over in their own car then their own insurance should cover them.

If they hire a car, they are insured.
