Don't worry, I'm not about to become one of the spelling police brigade on here as I know typos happen. However on Facebook the number of people who can't spell is getting ridiculous. The most common errors are 'your' for 'you're', 'their/there' for 'they're' and 'loose' for 'lose'. The latter doesn't even sound like the same word!! What do you think? It's not textspeak, it's just bad spelling.
Don't get me started on ignorant teachers; I could fill a whole website with my anecdotes, beginning with the Head of Remedial English who came into the staff room at the end of break to enquire, "Has the bell went yet?"

Himself is 'classically' educated so knows loads but his spelling is atrocious (hope I have spelt that correctly - but I have an iPad and they are buggers for mis-spelling things).
I suffer with this bad spelling and find it difficult typing in small boxes. The same thing happens at work in the call logging system. The spelling is rubbish. Its to do with the speed that people post and (with me) a form of blindness where I don't seem to see what's there. The brain doesn't process the info quick enough. One thing I find helps in to use word or email to create the post then paste it in. Another problem I have is pressing enter too quick. If there was a preview option maybe that would help.
Sickth instead of sixth. Newsreaders say it all the time and it drives me mad. On FB 'of' instead of 'have' makes me want to put my fist through the screen. And don't even get me started on apostrophes. Ladie's shoe's, anyone?
