I already have an ipod and therefore have an iTunes account on my laptop ................ if I wanted to set up another iPod (shuffle) for someone else with a completely different set of music files, but managed by the same laptop, how do I do this please? And if possible, please explain in very simple terms!! The second one is to set up as a gift so is it possible to set up a new and independent iTunes account that I can "handover" to the recipient? TIA

The best way to do it if you want totally separate music collections would be to create a new user account on the computer and then each person logs into windows as their own user whenever they use the computer.

Goto control panel > users and it's pretty straight forward.

Thanks Chuck - so, to be clear, you mean have another account (avatar) on the laptop - log on as new one and then download iTunes afresh?
Yes, but you shouldn't need to download Itunes again, as it's already installed, it will just run under the new account as if it was a new install.
