um....salad and something for starters.....
What about a spag bol with Quorn mince? Easy to make and kids usually eat it happily enough.
Question Author
and the something for starters would be...salad? then perhaps salad ice cream (oh sorry no dairy products allowed) for dessert -and try getting an 11 year old to eat salad lol!
Pizza with vegan cheese
Question Author
kiki -thanks -not sure if quorn mince is Vegan as I think it has dairy in it I have a feeling he would devour the chicken wings but can't really do that ;-)
Tried the vegan societie's website?

mark -pizza has yeast in it -don't think thats Vegan -oh bloody minefield I'm getting in the car and going to sainsbury's to look for a vegan ready meal - thanks!
I wouldn't bother with the starters. I'd go with mags suggestion.

Thanks Jake - should have thought of that but just got panicked when little monster said 'my mums a Buddist now and we don't kill animals' lol!
Easy answer. Pop into Sainsburys and get ready made vegan meals.
sounds like a form of child abuse to me. There are no child friendly vegan recipes, frankly I find this sort of forcing the parents choices on the children quite abhorrent. Get them a bargain bucket and tell him to keep schtumm!
I don't think Quorn has dairy in it, but it might I suppose. But if they object to anything with yeast in, then mycoprotein is probably a non-starter as well. You could always buy plain soya mince, which definitely is vegan.
Veg fajitas.

Stir fried peppers, onion, baby corn, courgetted. Served with tomato salasa and guacamole. If you want to use cheese then you will find a vegan cheese on the cheese aisle.

Otherwise mixed med veg and tomato sauce with pasta, serve with green salad.
A veg stirfry with noodles is dead easy too. Add a handful of peanuts to get some protein in.

oh Eccles thank you so much -i missed your posts and lovely recipes -i was at Sainsbury's getting ready meal (never bought ready meal in my life) but the little monster is not only Vegan but picky. think I will try those recipes for supper for us though -they sound fab -thankyou so much for typing those out -;-))
That's very kind magsmay! If he's picky I could do a complete brain dump and then discover that he is a vegan that doesn't like veg.....not unheard of in kids! Find out what he likes and I'm happy to give you some pointers for future reference.
Question Author
thanks Eccles -the way his mum is they will probably all be on the Atkins diet the next time he comes lol!
