Good Morning,birdie73, I've spent a lot of time trying to solve no44 and I'm completely stumped grrr.Tried salads and lists of cocktails -the answers can be drinks?Is that right?
Thinking of dirge made me think porridge (dirge) and poor for inefficient but came to a dead end.
When is the closing date? If nobody has come up with an answer perhaps you'll let us know what it was.Lots of ABers are racking their brains over this one.

Thanks to all for the very obvious time spent trying to solve this clue, it is not due in until 30th November so maybe inspiration will come to one of us by then ?
Thanks quinie Husband just the same obviously not able to get out so much now the weather has turned so cold. Unfortunately I have a health problem at the moment & have to go for a camera job !!! on the 17th,had one night in hospital not easy leaving OH alone.

While'st out I thought about the answer to our question & like the idea of your Dirge after all it is a sad song but didn't have any inspirations I'm afraid.
