Thanks for reply. It is apparently because I have used up my 100 free listings for October (I now know that as a private seller you get 100 free per month).
check you're selling limits and also check the category as i listed something at 99p which i got charged 90p for listing it, so i just put it into a wholesale joblot auction.
you can always contact ebay via the chat system and see why they are charging you
when we moved home i had that much stuff i'd collected that i no longer i wanted i filled my acc up, set my mom 1 up and the wifes mom 1 up so i actually had 3 accounts running and i still use them if i need to every now and then.
NLM, I think I would only need a second account as a one-off. 100 free 99p listings has been ample for me in the past. Thanks for the suggestion though.
windy i will give u a small ebay tip if you start something over 99p
start it at the price you want with no reserve as it costs more to add a reserve price than it does to start at the price you want, so you may get more than you wanted for the item at auction and save money on the listing
Thanks for the tip, NLM. I find the fees aspect quite confusing but I'm doing it more as a hobby and to pass on lots of my clutter.
I'd like to give you a little tip which you might not already know. Instead of paying for additional photographs, add the photos to the description part of the listing (by using a photo hosting site such as Photobucket). That way, you can add as many photos as you like and you don't have to pay.
