Very soon we will not be allowed to utter a word for fear of the PC Police. Whilst obvious we dont want people singles out there also has to be the freedom of thought to be considered.
Quote Millipede:
Just as we joined the fight against racism, against sexism and against homophobia, so we should join the fight against this form of intolerance.
So where will labour stop? when we reach the pinnacle of communism that is China perhaps?

Facetious and patronising - that's nice.
I wasn't operating by any book, merely reacting to YOUR post and what YOU said.
I'm glad you and Mill agree though, you both do generalisations so well. I have no wish to get drawn into a prolonged debate that is moving further and further away from it's origin.

"To say 'Right-wingers do tend to be hard-of-thinking', quite clearly, IN MY BOOK, is an implication that those to the right are thick...." (My caps)
That's what YOU wrote! It's hard to see, therefore, how you can now find my reference to 'your book' as "facetious and patronising."
Still, you're clearly not getting the point...either mine or Mill's...about the likely voting tendency of the non-too-bright or the significance of the word 'tend'. Accordingly, I'll leave it at that.

Again misinterpreting. It wasn't the reference to "my book" that I found facetious, more the suggestion that I had said anyone had to operate to it. As for patronising, you did that in a previous post when you defined "tend" for me.
Your original post did not make any reference to voting tendencies, nor explain them, it merely suggested that those to the right were hard of thinking.
I'm going to leave this one as we are going round in dizzying circles.

there is a widespread misconception about mental illness, as a suffer i can give first hand accounts of the stupid things people say. Not least pull your self together. However if people make comments it's our job to enlighten them, explanation and their understanding is better than telling them what to think. I don't care that much for Clarkson, but i defend his right to make daft comments, we all do it, often unwittingly.
