Gas cooker not lighting.

Our gas cooker is connected to a cylinder out the back. Last night and today it will not light. I took off the regulator and there is gas coming out of the cylinder. But the rings and the oven are not getting gas and when I turn it on with the regulator connected I cannot hear the gas running. Sometimes in the winter it freezes but it is not that cold yet so could there be a blockage in the connection?

Could it be water frozen in the connection pipe??
A heavy frost on a metal pipe could possibly do it?

yes - water in the pipe condensing out......how empty is the cylinder as you may want to exchange for one with a winter mix of 60% propane 40% butane and, yes, they do vary it for temperature performance as butane liquifies at only -4C.7

Wrap your valve/regulator and any exposed pipe with a bit of insulating foam/tubing would help you through the winter months, failing no tubing, old rags.

DT it is probably less that a quarter full and it is 100% propane as far as I'm aware. I've noticed that if I pour hot water over the regulator the gas will flow for about ten minutes but will then stop again. Perhaps the regulator is faulty as it is nowhere near freezing at the moment, it is probably around 10 degrees.
