I have a'08 VW Golf Estate 2 litre TDi this year I have to have two rear door lock actuators replaced. Initially the rear door will only unlock intermittently depending on ambient temperature. This eventually became a hard fault. An expensive item to replace and has safety implications. Has anyone else experienced a similar fault so I can repot this to VW customer services?

its not unique to VW, many manufacturers have similiar problems. If it was a serious safety issue they would issue a recall on the affected vehicles.
