Mitt's Magic Underpants !

Apparently it was Mitt's Magic Underpants that finally did for him last night in the States. Fiery bushes, ancient Israelites crossing the Atlantic over 2000 years ago, multiple wives, etc were all just about OK but it was those pesky pants that were the last straw.

Is there any Mormons out these in AB land that can explain why they all have to wear these strange underwear ?

When I was a boy in the 1960's, my Mum used to make me wear underpants that had "St Michael" on the lable...was that a similar kind of thing ?

Thanks Naomi. I had a look at the Wiki page, and as usual, its just the regular incoherent ramblings associated with religion.

There is a telling phrase:::::Wearing the garment is also "an outward expression of an inward commitment" to follow Jesus Christ.

Yes, a departure from English as we know it, but they are American after all.

But these are secret garments, worn under your normal clothes, so I'm somewhat puzzled how they can be described as "outward"

Wouldn't a nice hat or perhaps a fetching pair of gloves be better ?

Or Magic Earings, nice dangly ones that everybody could see ?

They look very uncomfortable. Imagine having that lot on under your clothes. :o/
