Roots with your roast - where do you stand?

Do you just have spuds, or do you run the whole gamut of roots? Roast with the joint, boiled, steamed or creamed?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.honey roast carrots and parsnips with mine, just par-steam the carrots and parsnips for about 5-10 mins, have a roasting tin/tray with a small amount of oil in it pre-heating in it in the oven then put the carrots and parsnips in it and roast for about 15-20 min, add a good drizzle of honey and some freshly ground black peeper. for the last 5 mins.
I always use whole baby carrots and parsnips.

As i cook my roast in the BBQ i tend to just do roast potatoes and a selection of roast veg, Pumpkin-sweet potatoes -parsnips-onions-carrots Zucchini, what ever is available goes round the roast so it all finishes togetter then there gravy made in the pan while the meat rest, One roast diner and only one pan to wash so nice.
