I've had the box for nearly two years now and haven't changed a thing in that time. Over the past two days the volume when watching Sky has become increasingly lower until it's now at the point where it almost has to be at 100%. Not only that, but as my television came with built-in Freeview, when the volume is up that high when the Sky box is turned on, you can hear the Freeview audio.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?
(There aren't any volume settings through the Sky menu, which isn't very helpful.)
Unplug from the wall for a while and check the connections while it is powered down. Sometimes a poorly connected scart can cause this. Also I don't think Sky boxes have individual volume controls so it may be an issue with your tv.
I wasn't aware that sky boxes had a volume control, mine doesn't, the volume is controlled through the TV. NOBA if you have sky, why have you got freeview connected? My TV has freeview in it but isn't connected to an arial, only to the sky box.
@woofgang Everything is as it was when the Sky box was installed by the engineer - I haven't changed anything and it's worked perfectly for the past two years.
