Padded shoe/slippers

My Mum's got something wrong with her foot - know it's awful, but I can't remember what it is.
Anyway, she has injections in the sole of her foot to ease the pain, which she's had today.
Her foot is now really, really sore and I wondered if there's any kind of padded shoe/slipper I could get for her, to wear around the house, that would ease it a bit. She's been told to rest it, but there's no chance of her doing that, so I figured there might be something that would help.

Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

How about those gel inserts you put into shoes? You can get different types for different parts of the foot.

Hmm, good idea. I was thinking something a bit thicker though?
Plantar fascitis? ( Or something like that!) The chemists will recommend things if it is.

I think that might be it?
I have since found a whole load of things which could possibly help. Thanks for the name though, that will come in handy :-)
my mum had this done a couple of years ago. She had plantar fascitis and had the injection up the sole of her foot and it was agony for 2 days after but the third day she was absolutely fine and could walk normally and the plantar fascitis hasn't come back since
I've had it, it's not pleasant. Round the house I tend to go for comfy slippers which have a thick but soft sole, usually from Primark and they are cheap to replace though my last ones lasted me ages before I replaced them.

Gel inserts and harder insoles can take a while to get used to so not always good for a quick fix.

I got some shapers trainers when I had it as they have a really thick bouncy sole which is rounded. Will try and find a link...
Ooh, randomly, these were the slippers I had before - http://www.ebay.co.uk...s&hash=item2576bc4843

So comfy!

The trainers had soles like these ones but were really cheap, about £12.

You can even get slippers with the toner soles too:

I assume the rounded sole helps stretch the muscles out?
Oh, duh, should have checked the links...try again...

crocs have all but cured my plantar fascitis, of course you have to look past the ugliness of them ;)

Thanks for the further responses, and those links :-)
I have found some memory foam insoles, which are apparently what the NHS use, so have got her some of those.
Good idea about the crocs - though not sure she'd wear them out and about! Lol
Great for the house and garden though. Thanks :-)
