M62 meeting place.

I am travelling from Manchester to Harrogate next week, and need a place on or v close to the M62 to meet someone coming from a different direction. I want to leave my car at this place, and travel to Harrogate with my friend, who will drop me back at my car on the way back later that afteornoon. Any suggestions? I don't mind paying for parking. It needs to be beyond the M60. Thanks.

Elland town centre is fairly easy to access from the M62. (It's about 3 miles from Jn 24). The biggest car park, with 59 spaces, is on Timber Street, at just 40p per hour. Set your satnav to HX5 0EA.

Alternatively Ainley Top is right by Jn 24. There's no public car park but a look at Google Street View might find you some street parking.

The M62 splits into 2 close by with a lone farmhouse in the middle, this was a well known brothel during construction.
