I parboil them, then fry them with bacon, onion and perhaps some left over chicken. Pile on top of a salad. We had this last night. Yummy

Thanks TheOtherHalf - you inspired me .... I have sliced them and added some garlic and herb seasoning some chopped bacon, onion, cheese and sinle cream and am baking it and calling it Posh Dauphinoise! We will see what it tastes like in 50 minutes .... but surely you can't go wrong with cheese, bacon, onion and spuds? :-/
Wash them unpeeled (if you have any left), slice them thickly with just as thickly sliced onions, wrap them in aluminum (Oh... er... aluminium) with several dollops of butter, sea salt and coarsely ground fresh pepper and pop on a grill or into the oven at medium high temperature for about 30 to 45 minutes. Plain and simple but always tasty...
