Jack Reacher

Just watched the trailer for the new Jack Reacher film, looks ok but I 'm afraid Tom just doesn't seem right in the part.What do you Reacher fans reckon?

Can't strand tom cruise anyway, but I think he is an awful choice. Think this has been discussed on here before.

I don't think he's a bad actor but I don't think it's good casting I mean a 5ft something midget playing a guy who's 6ft 6in tall and built like a brick Sugar house, he's got to do something special to win over the thousands of people who have read and enjoyed the books.

Well considering Jack is 6'3" I think Tom may just be a little vertically challenged. And, apart from that he just doesn't have the edge that I have always imagined Jack to have. I can't, for instance imagine Jack jumping up and down on anyones Sofa !

Really bad choice, I expected Jack Reacher to be a little rougher around the edges, much more manly, 6'3, and heavier than mini Cruise. It has spoilt the film for me. Just as 'Banks' the TV Police drama has been spoilt by choosing Tomlinson to play Banks. I can't watch it because all see is the clown on Brassed Off.

I don't even like the books/character (I've tried), and even I think it's a p!ss poor choice!

I hate it when they do this, it's not like they're spoiled for choice, apparently Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta is coming to the big screen and Angelina Jolie had been cast..........so many shades of wrong!

Nini neeson would have been a much better choice :-)

Anybody would have been better. I enjoyed the early Reacher books, but the latest just seem repetitive, predictable and can be quite boring.
