Baking Brownies
14 Answers
I'm about to bake some brownies for Children in Need on Friday - planning on baking them tonight (so I have time for a Plan B tomorrow if all doesn't go according to plan!) and then covering them with chocolate tomorrow.
A few questions...
Is it best to use baking paper or foil in the tins (small square roasting ones, quite shallow) to help get them out in one piece.
Is it best to store them in a cake tin in a cupboard or on a plate in the fridge to keep them nice.
Then comes the battle of getting them into work via two buses!
Let the baking commence :)

I have a cake tin though I was going to leave them in the baking tin til tomorrow then do the melted chocolate on the top so it sets neater (it being me!), well, that was the plan haha!
I have cake tins to put them in after though :)
Will try the baking paper, got some earlier, not using those silly frilly cake baking paper things I tried last time after they fluffed up my cake (with no help from me of course ;)).

Oooh they've just gone in the oven! :) Still not being able to mix well with silly arthritic bits...grrrr.... (Jenna goes off to google electric whisks...).
Timer on so we shall see! The house smells lovely though :)
Got my baking paper in and cake tins on standby, will leave them in a bit as suggested once I turn the oven off.

Well, last night's effort was not good - you might want your money back Tony ;) Really struggled with the stirring but bought myself a little present today, a cheap little electric whisk and I LOVE it!!!
I now have two halves of a chocolate sponge cake and two lots of chocolate brownies cooling :) Got some chocolate to melt later to top the brownies and cake s and some double cream to put in the middle of the cake...I feel another question coming on...
