Almat (Aldi) versus Excel Gel
23 Answers
Has anyone used both? Which do you prefer? I use Ariel Excel but it`s quite expensive and wait until it`s on offer somewhere then buy a few. I thought I might try Almat gel as I can`t be bothered looking about for good deals on the Ariel.

I use Almat both the non bio and bio -it is excellent -OH has manual job and we have horses -it lifts stains the same as Ariel if not better. There Conditioner is very very good as well. I'm an Aldi convert -there soft vanilla plug-in air fresheners are gorgeous at 99p even better -smells lovely.

I'm using almat bio at the mo, I don't have a washing liquid that I use all the time, just pick it up wherever I happen to be shopping. They all work pretty much the same, I've never had one which didn't get clothes clean, but I have to say I really like the smell of this almat one, really fresh and clean, not flowery or overpowering just a lovely fresh laundry smell. Will defo be buying it agai .
The only thing that Waitrose is good for is if you want something exotic that other shops don't stock, like quails eggs (not me of course, I couldn't be bothered with that). Their stuff is always set out beautifully I must admit, but it is no better than Aldi's. In fact, I like to have a piece of salmon, just a small piece for me, once a week, so as I was outside of Waitrose I went in there to buy it. They did not have any skinless and boneless so I didn't buy it in there. If I found a bone in my mouth I would not be able to finish it so there was no point. But I think it goes to show they are not perfect and do not have everything.
