Windows 7 photographs
I am having a problem emailing my photographs.
The computer asks for a windows live mail password before it will send.If you ignore this message and press send it comes up with an error message.
This is a new computer installed last week and we do not have a password.
I have picasa installed and cannot get them to go with this either, our old comp sent them quickly with picasa..which ran on outlook.
Help please.
Thankyou

Windows Live Mail needs to know various pieces of information such as your pop and smtp addresses, and your email userid and password.
These would have been setup on your old computer so it was up to you (or somebody else) to transfer that information to your new computer.
Windows Live Mail cannot guess that informaiton so it has to be entered manually.
There are also programs that will copy the information across from your old computer to your new computer. Here is one program from Microsoft called Windows Easy Transfer, but you will need access to the old PC so I hope you still have it.

My guess is that Outlook was setup on the old computer to remember the password so you never needed to enter it.
Now the person who has set up this computer has set it so that you need to enter your password each time (a better security measure).
But if you dont know what the password is......did you not write it down somwhere when you first set up your other computer?
Maybe contact the company who did the setup on the new computer and see if they have access to the password.
I think it is a good idea to write down all the settings and other information you put in your computer when setting it up. It is surprising how easy it is to forget them months or years later.
