webcam

my cam has been working perfectly for months but this morning it says camera unplugged. i have done a check and still says camera unplugged.Anyone tell me what could be wrong .thanks for any replies.

Presumably the connection is still plugged in to the computer, if so and if you are using XP have you tried a system restore to a point where you know it was working okay - maybe one of the files has ecome corrupted for some reason -worth giving the restore a go and checking.
Failing that it could be that you just need to re-install the software for the web cam?

thanks for your reply. i went back to what i think was 2 days on systems restore. went through procedure .nearly had a fit couldnt get back to anything but used my brain and got it back. anyway that didnt work may have to go back another 2 days but i shall leave it now until i get someone that knows what they are doing before i have another near fit as i dont know nothing about tech side of things. it still says on my window that camera is installed and my printer isnt working from that port connection either. but everything else ok thanks again

PROBLEM FOUND. The little white piece inside connection has come out it was stuck inside web connection piece.
