Thats a shame, Dee..........i'll ask around, as i'm in the music business.....i'm a club DJ based in England, but gig all over the world, so maybe i'll get some recommendations from some friends that know bands based in Northern Ireland better than me, as The Usual Suspects are booked on your date.

Could be worth going out to a few pubs/clubs etc that advertise bands of the type you're looking for. Then, if you like them, you can approach them and ask about terms and availability.

very reasonably priced live band compared to the many lesser acts in the north who charge an arm and a leg for the *two blokes ands a minidisc player* type scenario, and so...*so* much better. the demos on their site speak for themselves.
