My radio gave up the ghost on Thursday,,,,,,,,,

I know you can get some stations on the TV but not the one I want to listen to, they only broadcast on MW and DAB. As the analogue signal has been turned off for TV, I assume this will also happen for radio. So can anyone recommend a DAB radio to buy without spending a fortune.

Get one off ebay, the Pure ones are good. You can listen to digital radio through your laptop too.

I don't have a lappy china just a computer, which is not in the kitchen where I want the radio.

Pure radios then. We have one in the kitchen which I think cost about £80 last year and it's pretty good, but you can probably get cheaper on ebay I reckon.

It says here we can still listen on FM. I wouldn't rush to get a DAB radio just yet.

What station do you listen to as a rule ?. If its on FM, any radio will be good enough. But DAB is for me. I have it in the house, in the van and at work, because my station only broadcasts on DAB. I can recommend the roberts duologic (rechargable and mains) but as China doll said, pure has some good models out. these are the higher end of DAB radio. try Tescos for cheaper versions, argos too.

We get a lot of interference on MW. that is why I was thinking of DAB.

Pure DAB Rdios are excellent. I've had mine seven years. They do a kitchen model with Timer. Tesco's own make "Technika" is good if you want something cheaper.

Not enough room on FM for everyone, so the talky stations are banished to AM.

DAB signal for us here is very patchy, so although I have bought one I won't be buying any more.
