replying to another answer from someone...

If someone has started a debate or something and everyone is answering, maybe we could have a feature where if you type for eg:
@lumination (insert rest of answer here) then the word @lumination could be in a bold colour so you can see who is replying to your answer in that thread... i hope that made sense...

Its sometimes very confusing if your answering someone else in the thread and you have to sift through answers to see if someone is directing a comment at you. where as if we have this at the start you can see who is talking to you...

If I want to respond to a particular poster in a thread I start my reply with;
@ so and so, an immense effort on my part I realise, but it seems to work!

baldric thats exactly what i man yes. It does make things easier but If there was a colour then it would stand out a bit more and you dont have to look too hard.

Although the Ed has said "Not a bad idea that." I can't visualise how it would work. Perhaps the Ed is still threaded on this one and will kindly comment further.

Perhaps there is some merit for it to be applied in threads where folk digress from subject matter.!! However, I thought that 'digression' was discouraged in AB and was open to being subjected to 'Answer removed'.
