Not sure what you are getting at here janny.

A Blood Group test determines specifically the blood group (usually restricted to the ABO and Rh groups) of an individual.It has to be a blood sample, since we are talking about markers that are specific for red blood cells only. You can occasionally determine an individuals ABO group from a saliva sample,if that person is a secretor.

A DNA profile is a different test, and can be performed on any of a number of bodily tissues or fluids. Since each individual has a unique DNA profile, this can be matched against others to determine a match. It does not directly give you the individuals blood group,nor does DNA differ depending on the type of tissue cell or fluid you test.

It might help if you expanded on your original question and stated what it was you wanted to know. In inheritance or paternity testing for instance, blood groups are only an indicator, since they are not unique to an individual or a family, except in exceptional circumstances. To determine paternity and/or inheritance, a DNA profile would be far more accurate.

Are blood groups consistent: Theoretically, if you took a DNA sample from someone, cloned them and then did a blood test, on the clone, I'm guess the blood group would be the same?
