My neighbour has maintenance guys in to do gardening, decoration, cleaning etc. The point is, they have a huge collection of noisy machines which clatter on for 2 or 3 hours and it's getting on by tits. Worse still, I just heard my neighbour on the other side ask them if they could do Wednesdays.

It's hard living next to other folk sometimes! I'm not a fan of noise either.

But, trying to look at the positives, at least you know when to expect the racket each week, and at least your neighbours look after their properties. Could be party animals keeping you up all night with loud music and drunks in the garden.

Not much help to you though!
...so have you spoken to them about it? Tbh, if it's only one day a week and you know the day, you know when to expect it.

To be fair it's not a complaining matter because they are good neighbours and although annoying the noise isn't over the top. Mind you, when I'm doing by garden and outside maintenance my machines don't seem to bother me.
It must be difficult but cant you go and get your shopping on Tuesdays and plan to spend the day out, or get a set of headphones to wear.As its during the day I dont think there is much you can do, it must be annoying though.

Headphones might be a good idea Dee Sa. Today was blowing leaves followed by power washing slabs.
Our heating engineer probably annoyed our neighbours today - oh that reminds me
